Guide-to-Hotel-Booking-in-Quito-Header
Quito offers countless attractions of all kinds; hiding between its streets and its people are the wonders that only a city of history and magic can host. In addition, its special urban development and unique location in the middle of the Andes make Quito, the only city of its kind: a great metropolis in a reduced and natural space over the Equator line.Surrounded by beautiful mountains, Quito is the ideal starting point to discover the fantastic environmental scenery that Ecuador possesses. From here, the visitor has the opportunity to choose the destination that he/she likes the most. The capital gives the necessary comforts to prepare trips to the most diverse destinations: towards the north and the south are the landscapes of the mountain range, towards the west are the beautiful beaches of the Route of the Sun, and towards the east the tourist can know the immense tropical forest of the Ecuadorian Amazon.
travel-insurance-requirements-for-ecuador- header
Previously, the Ecuadorian government was planning on making travel insurance a requirement for entering mainland Ecuador. That has since been cancelled and you will not need to demonstrate proof of travel insurance to enter Ecuador. Entering the Galapagos, however, is another story. The latest news (as of me writing this post) is that travel insurance will at some point be a requirement, but there is no information regarding when this will be enforced. This is part of a very long series of enforcement dates that have been pushed back. It was supposed to be going into effect as of November 1st, but now we basically just don't know when this will be mandatory.

chimborazo-climb-Header
If you’re a climber that’s visiting Ecuador, the Chimborazo Volcano is one that you can’t miss! The Chimborazo’s claim to fame is that it’s peak is the world’s furthest point from the earth’s center. I know what you’re thinking. Everest is the highest mountain, everyone knows that. That’s partly true – measured from sea level, Everest is the highest mountain… but it’s not the closest to the sun. This is because the shape of the earth isn’t a perfect sphere. It actually bulges towards the middle (like many of us do). This means that the top of the Chimborazo is well over a mile further away from the earth’s center than Mount Everest! You literally will not find a point higher than the peak of the Chimborazo volcano.
ecuador amazon cruise header
There is nothing that I love more than exploring the rainforest in South America. I've done it in several different countries, and it is never a letdown for the adventurous. I've chased caiman, caught piranhas, slept in hammocks and tripped over anacondas. Those were some of the happiest moments in my life. Most people, though, are probably looking for something a little... milder. If you want to explore the Amazon rainforest with more comfort (while not missing out on nature), then a river cruise in Ecuador is probably exactly what you're looking for.
Quito-in-3-Days header
Quito is the capital of Ecuador, and it's a massive city with roughly two and a half million people. It has a large international airport, and more than likely this is where you'll enter the country. So is it worth it to spend a few days in Quito before heading out to explore the rest of the country? Yes! Aside from being a major hub of activity, this large city is packed with beautiful parks and other attractions. It's historical district was the first (along with Kraków, Poland) to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site (1978). There are tons of really outstanding monuments, buildings and sculptures that display rich culture and history.
