World Travel Awards 2015 – (Ecuador Leading Travel)

Ecuador is without a doubt getting the world´s attention, a few years back Ecuador was synonymous to the Galapagos Islands.. and nothing more than that. Fast forward to Saturday, October the 10th of 2015, & Ecuador is taking home an accolade of awards for the 3rd consecutive time!

The WTA (World Travel Awards) is a big deal for the travel industry, in their own words: “we recognize and reward travel excellence” According to the Wall Street Journal it’s the equivalent to the Oscars of the Travel industry.

The 22nd World Travel Awards 2015 ceremony took place in our neighboring country, Colombia – Bogota, the prizes are annually awarded per continent and divided into different categories, Ecuador was among many South America’s nominations for 2015.

Good things come in small packages, Ecuador is showcasing this small country can cater quality destinations and products to the world, all the while winning as a Leading Green Destination. What an exciting time for Ecuador!
