Our Amazon Lodge, Napo Cultural Center, was great. The meals were beautiful, tasty, and the service was excellent. Our Guide, Maurico Andi, was amazing: Great stories to share growing up in the area, could make tons of animal sounds to attract animals, could find a great variety of animals with the tiniest clues, and he was able to help us get amazing photos and videos by carefully placing our iphones up to his spotting scope. One small way the experience could be improved would be ventilation in the cabins at night. A small fan inside the mosquito net may do the trick. The large ceiling fan above the mosquito net can’t send air thru the net. We found though that we had no bugs inside the unit so we really didn’t need the netting. I will highly recommend the lodge to my friends and relatives.
