Unearth the Wonders of Cuyabeno Reserve
The Cuyabeno reserve stands as a living testament to nature’s diversity and resilience. Within its boundaries, an intricate tapestry of life unfolds—monkeys swing through ancient trees, jaguars prowl stealthily through the undergrowth, caimans glide through the water, and the gentle elegance of pink dolphins graces the river’s surface. As a protected wildlife zone, the reserve safeguards these wonders, ensuring their existence for generations to come.

Yet, the Cuyabeno reserve is not only a sanctuary for wildlife but also a cradle of indigenous cultures. The Siona people, who have inhabited these lands for centuries, offer an opportunity to engage with living history. Guests of Siona Lodge can participate in their way of life, immersing themselves in traditions, learning from their wisdom, and discovering the profound connection that exists between humans and nature.

Adventures Guided by Experts
The heart of the Siona Lodge experience lies in its curated adventures, each led by seasoned naturalists who possess an intimate understanding of the rainforest’s rhythms. Embark on jungle treks that take you deep into the emerald embrace of the Amazon. With every step, you become a part of this ancient ecosystem, witnessing monkeys leaping from branch to branch, vibrant birds flashing their colors, and the secrets of the forest slowly revealing themselves.

For bird enthusiasts, Siona Lodge offers a unique opportunity to observe over 500 species in their natural habitat. Join bird watching tours, guided by experts who can identify even the most elusive of species by their calls and plumage. Spot toucans with their vibrant beaks, marvel at the majestic flight of macaws, and lose yourself in the iridescent beauty of parrots.

Venture onto the serene waters to witness a dance between two of the Amazon’s most iconic inhabitants—the caimans and the pink dolphins. These guided boat rides offer a glimpse into the hidden lives of these fascinating creatures, their behaviors unfolding before your eyes. As you observe the caimans basking in the sun or the elegant pink dolphins gracefully navigating the currents, you gain a profound appreciation for the delicate balance of life in this ecosystem.

We were looking for a lodge near the big lagoon and we nailed it with Siona. The lodge exceeded our expectations. We were thinking we were going to rough it out for this part of our South america, but it was pleasantly comofortable. Would come again!
Diane
The cuyabeno is amazing, our guide was particularly helpful for spotting wildlife, and we had the best of times. We were surprised wit the many lodges available in the area, but we couldn’t be happier with siona, good meals, a clean lodge, and just being in the midst of the wilderness was the best way to end our stay in Ecuador.
