Convertible Cabins Overview

Convertible cabins provide you with the flexibility of choosing between two separate lower twin beds or having them placed together to make a king size bed. This additional flexibility is available to you. In the majority of circumstances, Galapagos cruises have a limited capacity of only eight rooms, which can accommodate sixteen guests. Therefore, in order to appeal to a large audience that is looking for a varied layout of cabins, these convertible cabins are available. Additionally, it is essential to keep in mind that these adjustable cabins are typically found beginning with first class and going up from there. One or more convertible cabins will be available for each of the Galapagos cruise options that are listed below.
Are convertible cabins available in all categories?
No. Convertible cabins like these are typically seen on Galapagos Cruises and are of the first-class, luxury, or ultra luxury category. There are certain configurations and mechanisms that are required for cruise cabins to maintain beds in their fixed positions, either as separate single beds or by joining them together to form a double bed. Therefore, such a feature is not accessible in the lesser categories, such as the basic or superior Galapagos cruises.
Will 2 single beds, always result in a king bed?
No. What the proportions of the individual beds are will determine this to a large extent. When joined, they would form a king-size bed if the width was 1.5 meters. On the other hand, a double bed or even a queen bed may be the outcome if the width of the single bed is 1 meter.
