Located in the South East of San Cristobal, this breeding center was built to increase the population of giant tortoises. With an infrastructure of 1415 m2, including a visit center, and other common ground areas. The breeding center's effort has been focused on increasing the number on the local giant tortoise species (Geochelone Chatamensis) to healthy numbers. These have been seriously threatened by intruduced species. The center features similar conditions to their natural habitat.
